Plan Commission Term Appointments: The Town of Gibraltar is seeking applicants to fill two terms on the Plan Commission expiring December 31, 2025. Each appointment is for a three-year term. Interested individuals should be full-time residents of the municipality. Letters of interest addressed to the Town Chair may be mailed to Town of Gibraltar, P.O. Box 850, Fish Creek, WI 54212, or emailed to [email protected]. Letters must be received by Monday, November 24, 2025.

The Door County Sheriff’s Office has been notified of numerous telephone and computer scams affecting the citizens of Door County and would like to provide some simple reminders about the warning signs of a scam.

Top 5 Warning Signs of a Scan

1) Requests for personal information

2) Requests for payment of any kind

3) Requests for payment by wiring money or pre-paid debit cards

4) Threats and urgency

5) Requests for secrecy

Some of the most recent concerns include the Grandparents Scam, IRS Scam, Lottery or Prize Winner Scam and Utility Shutoff Scam.
